Permissions Guide
To protect your privacy, we believe in 100% transparency regarding why we need certain access levels. Here is the technical breakdown of our DeviceRepository requirements:
Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS)
Module: Active Time Stats. Allows us to see when an app is in the foreground. We subtract this from total screen time to identify "Ghost" background activity.
Network Stats (READ_NETWORK_USAGE_STATS)
Module: Data Usage & Ghost Detection. Allows us to track precisely how many megabytes an app sends/receives. We cross-reference this with the Usage Access to find "Data Leaks."
Query All Packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES)
Module: App Analysis & Adware Scan. Needed to audit every app on the device, including hidden ones, to check for SHA-256 signature integrity and adware SDKs.
Internet (INTERNET)
Module: Breach Check. Needed to check if your email appears in known global data breaches. Note: Your personal app usage data is never sent over the internet.
Data Sovereignty
No data shared with third parties
mProhori audits your device locally. No logs are ever transmitted to external servers (T&C apply).
Anonymous Intelligence
Breach checks query public leak databases via encrypted, anonymous requests (T&C apply).
